MAKE IT HAPPEN MONDAY
Easy template to make a plan this year
The new year is always a great time for setting intentional goals for yourself and your family.
We created our very own goal doc that has allowed us to plan what we want our year to look like, with true intention behind where we spend our time. We did this last year, and it was really awesome to reflect back on what went well, what didn’t, and why.
We want to share our format with you all as we kick off this new year together. Let’s get into the specifics of our 2 part document.
The top part sets the intention for the overall document:
This year’s guiding theme - if you had to live by a sentence this year, what would it be?
Core Values - what are your personal set of fundamental beliefs that guide your behavior daily?
Mission - what is the purpose behind the way you go about your life this year?
Assembling focus -
This year IS NOT about
This year IS about
Then, using the above section to guide us, we break down mini goals for aspects of our life ranging from personal, health & fitness, professional, service, and hobbies.
We list out each goal that we have under those categories, reflect on where we’re currently at with those goals, give it a completion date, set up a high level action plan, and monitor how we do against those all year.

BUZZING BITES
What’s a Mazapan Latte?
We weren’t sure… until our friends at Cafexico, a Mexican-inspired coffee shop serving up Mexican coffees & treats, opened this past Saturday at 515 4th St, and their Mazapan Latte has been all the latest buzz.
A Mazapan Latte combines espresso, milk, and mazapan which is a traditional Mexican candy made from peanuts & sugar, sometimes flavored with cinnamon or other spices.
This weather is perfect timing for a warm, sweet & savory latte.
Stop by Cafexico this week and let us know what you think!
TINY EXPLORERS CORNER
There’s a handful of kids events scheduled this week at the Hoboken Public Library. Check out this link and filter for kids at the top to check out what’s going on!

TO HOBOKEN & BEYOND
Spark: “I don’t believe in regrets; I believe your future is in your tomorrows." - John Travolta
Gem: If you love waffle cones, you need to thank Italo Marchioni - a local Hobokenite who patented the waffle cone iron in 1902, and later acquired a factory on Grand Street to manufacture the waffle cones and distribute all over the NY area. Check out his story here!
Support: Billy DiMaio resided in Hoboken and was a victim of the New Orleans Terror Attack. We are sharing his GoFundMe to support him & his family during this time.
WHAT’S GOT US BUZZING?
“Smoke on the Hudson” cocktail @ Anthony David’s - arguably the best cocktail in Hoboken
Dino & Harry’s Sautéed Calamari (fried is not the only way, we swear.) It’s sautéed in fresh garlic & olive oil, served with garlic aioli. Mouthwatering!
