BUZZING BITES
A castle on the hill
Does anyone have the same 5 takeout restaurants that they order from? Looking for something new? We’ve got news for you!
Right up 14th street, Forkhill Kitchen sits atop the hill overlooking Hoboken, and we just recently had the best takeout experience.
Rewinding a bit: we first went to Forkhill Kitchen after seeing Maria Roberts & Nicole Hamilton share rave reviews on their “Takeout dinner with the neighbs” series on Maria's IG.
We actually ran there from Hoboken on a morning run, thinking it was much closer (lol), but it was the best reward after a rigorous journey.
Their cornmeal pancakes are to die for, the custom omelette is cooked to perfection, and they offer homemade breakfast sausage too. It was one of the freshest, most relaxed local brunch spots that we’ve enjoyed in a while. The owner is so kind, too!
Now recently we just ordered their dinner for takeout - and it was perfect. It’s the best option if you’re not ordering from your typical sushi, Mexican, or Italian go-to’s. The short rib was able to be cut with a fork and it sat upon creamy polenta, the salmon was beyond fresh, and their mac & cheese was extra cheesy mixed with slab bacon. It sounds like a heavy meal but it was so fresh that it didn’t feel that way, and everything came hot and on time - the best requirements of delivery.
We highly recommend - let us know if you order from there and how your experience is!
TINY EXPLORERS CORNER
LEGO Club, this Thursday, December 19th! The third Thursday of every month on the 3rd floor of the Hoboken Library at 500 Park Ave from 4pm-4:45pm, children will come up with challenges and build together. Snacks and bricks provided! Register here!

Spark: “Take a deep breath, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.” -Frank Sinatra
Gem: This rainy Monday is reminding us that the land Hoboken was built on was once an island. Def a big reason why it floods so easily around here! (Aside from the very old water system - we’ll get into that another day lol)
