• SANTAAAA. He’s coming. We know him. Jk. But be on the lookout today, 12/20 around 6pm for Santa coming around town on his sleigh firetruck! Here’s his schedule.

• What does Madd Hatter, Wicked Wolf, and Willie McBrides have in common? Hoboken SantaCon. We can’t live with it, but it also seems like we can’t live without it? It’s Dec. 21st starting at 10am - sharing if interested but also to… beware. Lol ($)

• Can’t have santa without cookies. Head over to Bwe on Washington St. on Dec. 21st from 10-1pm for the little acorn bakery pop-up!

• From the bakery to the kitchen. Well, you want to stay out of this kitchen. You can enroll this afternoon, Dec 20th, starting at 12:30pm for Hoboken’s adult pickleball league! The first session will begin the week of Jan 6th, 2025, at the Multi-Service Center Gym @ 124 Grand St.

🏬 Local Bizz

Our furry friends should always be in the best of hands. LuvK9 recently opened a storefront at 421 Washington St for full-service grooming. There’s more to the story though - they started dog walking in the winter of 2019 to change the approach of dog care in Hoboken.

Their goal is to improve your pets quality of life by teaching you how to have your pets live in a highly dense and populated city by utilizing their system of “structure, exercise and affection (S.E.A)”. They are proud Hobokenites who are also very passionate about giving back to the community. Since 2020 they have donated over $4000 worth of dog kibble, products, etc. to various dog shelters and rescues! If you’re in need of a groomer or dog walker, check out their site or Instagram!

Let’s do this one NYE-style

Since you won’t be hearing from us for 2 weeks, we thought we’d get ahead of things and share some NYE recs so you have some plans to choose from! We have a little somethin’ for everyone:

🕺 Do you remember the 31st night of December? 12/31 @ 9:30pm - 1am, Halifax is throwing a Studio 54 inspired NYE Celebration. Premium Open Bar, cocktails, champagne & luxury bites. Wear your disco shoes! $240 per ticket + tax. Tickets!

🍽️ Not up for dancing & looking for nice dinner vibes? 12/31 @ 5 & 5:30; 7 & 7:30; & 9:30pm seatings - Anthony David’s is offering a 3 course tasting menu, and 4 course tasting menu at the 9:30pm seating. Tickets are $70 pp (5 & 5:30); $95 pp (7 & 7:30), or $125 pp plus champagne toast (9:30pm). Purchase them here!

🍀 Can’t go wrong with a classic. 12/31 @ 9pm - 3am, open bar at Willie McBrides, along with a hot buffet & champagne toast at midnight. Live music from The Benjamin’s! $125 per ticket. Tickets here!

🍸 Don’t want to commit to something too crazy? 12/31 @ 10pm - 1am, our cozy Bin 14 is offering an open bar, Italian snacks & party favors. $102 per ticket + tax. Tickets here!

BUZZING BITES

A lovely, wintery happy hour spot

NYE has our minds on enjoyable, cozy happy hour spots in Hoboken. If you haven’t been to Backstage yet, here’s your reminder to check it out! It’s an upscale cocktail lounge located at the back of Sirenetta. It serves a very intimate, swanky atmosphere and their custom cocktails alongside light bites are delightful - here’s a few we’d recommend:

Cocktails:

• The Cure - ketel one cucumber-mint botanical, agave, lime, jalapeno

• Clear Espresso Martini - coffee vodka, white creme de cacao, coffee bitters

• Dirty Vodka Martini - grey goose vodka, dry vermouth, house blue cheese olives

Light Bites: 

• The Lobster Biscuits - they are unreal - same ones at Sirenetta, you can’t go here and not get them!

• Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail - always a must

• Antipasti Board - mortadella, prosciutto, a range of artisan cheeses - you can’t go wrong!

• Hoboken Historical Museum has a slew of storytime & art class events over the next few days. They are free but donations of $5 are appreciated!
